Description
The picture was probably acquired by Captain Christopher Gunman, a regular visitor to Boulogne during his naval career as commanding officer of various royal yachts. It was among the pictures formerly in the collection of the Gunman family and came to Doddington in the early nineteenth century following the marriage of Sarah Hussey Delaval to James Gunman.
