Emily Knight is Assistant Curator of Paintings at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Before joining the V&A in 2017, she was Curatorial Fellow and Postdoctoral Researcher at Kensington Palace, working on the exhibition ‘Enlightened Princesses. Caroline, Augusta, Charlotte and the Shaping of the Modern World’. She completed her doctorate at the University of Oxford in 2019, which focused on 18th-century posthumous portraiture in Britain. Her research was supported by the Huntington Library, the Yale Center for British Art and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art.
